Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center
A teaser video for the upcoming series, The Equestrians, filmed at Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center in Loxahatchee, Florida, and at the 29th Annual “Buck-Off” charity fundraiser for the organization.
Each year at the Buck-Off, members from the equestrian community gather for an evening of fun and a silent auction that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for VTRC.
Children and adults with physical, cognitive, or psychological differences are eligible to ride at Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center.
Therapeutic Riding offers a unique and challenging opportunity for those with limitations to be empowered with a sense of pride, accomplishment and independence.
Vinceremos has come a long way from its humble beginnings. From a backyard to leased acreage where rain was in the daily weather forecast, the center now has a covered arena with 45,500 square feet. Starting with just two students, Vinceremos now works with upwards of 140 riders each week.
Volunteers have always been an integral part of the program. As the program has grown, so has the need for volunteers. There is a volunteer coordinator presently scheduling dozens of volunteers to help with all aspects of the classes and barn chores. Several Special Olympians have been groomed to volunteer alongside their able-bodied peers.
